Board Appointments

Jelf Group Plc, an independent full-service brokerage that supports businesses and related individuals, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Walker as Non Executive Chairman with immediate effect. David will take over the position from Christopher Jelf who will step down from his position as chairman but will remain on the Board as a Deputy Chairman. Michael King, current Deputy Chairman, will retire from the Board but will remain actively involved in the Company.
David Walker joined the Jelf Group as a Non Executive Director in December 2004 and is currently the Senior Independent Director. He has more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry in London, New York and Hong Kong, working for JP Morgan, Bankers Trust and, for the 13 years prior to his retirement in 2003, Credit Suisse First Boston. He held various senior roles at CSFB including Co-Head of Corporate & Investment Banking in Asia, Head of Asia ex-Japan, Global Head of Strategic Planning and UK Country Manager (responsible for CSFB’s relationship with the FSA).
Bruce Carnegie-Brown will be joining the Jelf Board as a Non Executive Director upon completion of the subscription by 3i Quoted Private Equity Limited (“QPE”). Bruce is Managing Partner of 3i Investments plc, the investment manager of QPE, and a member of the 3i Group plc Management Committee. He joined 3i in January 2007 after three years at Marsh & McLennan, where he was Chief Executive Officer of Marsh Limited and head of Marsh’s European and Middle Eastern operations.
Jon Manson, Chairman of Manson Insurance Group Limited (“Manson”), is also joining the Jelf Board with immediate effect as an Executive Director following Jelf’s acquisition of Manson, where he will remain as Chairman. Jon has over 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry and founded Manson in 1971.
